Risk of Bleeding With Single, Dual, or Triple Therapy

This Figure from another study[135] shows the risk of bleeding with single, dual, or triple therapy with warfarin, aspirin, and clopidogrel in patients with AFib. The reality is that the risk of bleeding will be increased once we have a triple therapy on board in a patient who has multiple problems, such as AFib and acute coronary syndrome, whether using warfarin or one of the NOACs (where we have very little data).
