Many NMI tumors cluster with MIBC

FIG. 8:  It is also true that there are many subtypes of non-muscle-invasive (NMI) disease.  Many NMI tumors cluster with muscle-invasive bladder cancer, separate from their clustering within the group itself.  This Figure shows that bladder cancer is heterogeneous, not only among muscle-invasive tumors, but also among NMI tumors.[6]  Further studies with gene expression profiling are awaited to refine these category further.
