FIG. 33:  According to the Kaplan-Meier curves in Hedegaard’s study,[29] it appears that the different classes have different progression-free survivals. In the clinical arena, this might tempt us to use this information to counsel our patients, but it is important to recognize that the progression of events is key, and that BCG administration is key, and in this study, 80% of progression events occurred in class II tumors.  The cohort was limited in power, with only 6.7% of patients progressing, and only 18% of patients received BCG, so this study is not as translatable to the real-world situation as we would like it to be.
