Comprehensive Transcriptional Analysis of Early-stage Urothelial Carcinoma

FIG. 32:  Another example of the utility of recognizing the subgroups of patients after BCG failure can be found when we look at gene expression profiling.  Hedegaard and colleagues[29] analyzed early-stage urothelial carcinoma and performing similar subgrouping to that done by the Cancer Genome Atlas Research Network (TCGA) for muscle-invasive bladder cancer[30] and described three subclasses of NMI bladder cancer patients (the Lund classification).
