Papillary Recurrence of Bladder Cancer after Induction BCG Therapy

FIG. 17:  The grade of the recurrence is different from the stage of the tumor.  If the patient has a recurrence at the first evaluation with a Ta or T1 lesion, they need to be followed with the same close vigilance.[18]  However, if these patients have a low-grade recurrence, this can be considered a non-event, as far as BCG induction failure is concerned, and they can continue on maintenance therapy for the short term.
