The cIMT results are shown in this Table, and it is apparent that, even after controlling for baseline HDL cholesterol or apoA-I, as well as other CVD risk factors, there was a highly statistically significant association of cholesterol efflux capacity with atherosclerotic disease burden, as assessed by cIMT.
