Heading into the future we really need to get this description of cholesterol efflux right, and we have to be specific in our terminology by identifying which cells or tissues are important for our investigations. It is only through these very important collaborative efforts that we stand a chance to move this field forward and help scientific investigation and help improve the care of our patients by tackling this robust biomarker of cardiovascular disease.
