CPAP in Periodic Breathing/ Cheyne-Stokes Respiration

FIG. 11:  What about CPAP in these patients?  The following Figures illustrate two examples of central breathing disturbances during sleep in heart failure (actually CSR).  The patients were treated with different levels of CPAP, but as seen in this Figure, in the first of these studies[9] there was almost no change of the breathing disturbances: the CSR continues during treatment with CPAP.
