Rader - Figure 4 - Pedigree
The pedigree of this patient is interesting. As shown in the Figure, the patient has two siblings: a brother who has a moderately elevated LDL-C levels and a sister whose LDL-C has never been measured. As mentioned, a medical history revealed that his mother died of an MI at age 54, and his father had bypass surgery at age 62 years. The patient is not really aware of his CVD risk. He has two children, ages 4 and 2 years, who have never been screened for their lipids; he also has both aunts and uncles on the maternal and paternal sides, although their lipid panel results are unknown.
