Jin - Figure 38 - Co-Testing Endorsements

HPV testing again has received the strongest endorsement to date. For women age ≥30, the preferred approach is
Pap plus HPV co-testing every 5 years if both tests are negative.  To recap, the HPV test can better forecast women
who will develop any cervical disease in the next 5+ years than cytology.  By adding the HPV testing in cervical
cytology screening, it enhances the detection of adenocarcinoma of the cervix and its precursor lesions.
