Xian Wen Jin, MD:
My name is Dr. Xian Wen Jin. I am a board certified Internist, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.
I am pleased to welcome you to today’s continuing medical education program, 2012 Cervical Cancer Screening Guidelines: Implications for Primary Care Practitioners. Today I am joined by two distinguished colleagues of mine, Dr. Bradley Monk, and Nancy Berman, to discuss the impact of the new Guidelines on cervical cancer screening in primary care.
First, Dr. Bradley Monk, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Bradley J. Monk, MD:
Yes, and thank you. It is a great honor to be here. As an oncologist, a gynecologic oncologist, this is very important to me. I think we all realize that cancer is about prevention and screening, so this is a great honor. I think this is really important, this is evidence-based. This is going to be exciting.
I am in Phoenix, Arizona. I am the Director of Gynecologic Oncology there at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Xian Wen Jin, MD:
Thank you, Dr. Monk. Nancy?
Nancy Berman, ANP:
Yes. I am a nurse practitioner in private practice in Southfield, Michigan at the Millennium Medical Group. I have been seeing women as a specialty and providing care for the last 33 years. I am also very excited to educate regarding the new guidelines.
Xian Wen Jin, MD:
